This Privacy Policy explains what personal data Krong Academy ("Krong Academy", "we", "us") collects, why, and what rights you have over it. It applies to the Site, the free lead-magnet opt-ins, the Project Command Center tool, the Programme, and the email communications you receive from us.
Krong Academy, operated by Damian Powell, an individual trading as a sole proprietor based in South Africa, is the "responsible party" (under South Africa's POPIA) / data controller (under GDPR terminology) for the personal data described below. Contact: hello@krong.academy.
We do not knowingly collect any special category of data (health, political or religious belief, etc.) and ask that you don't include it in messages to us, or in any Human Audit or guarantee-claim submission, beyond what's naturally relevant to the request.
| Purpose | What we use | Legal basis |
|---|---|---|
| Deliver the free lead magnet you requested | First and last names, email | Your consent (opt-in) |
| Create and manage your free Project Command Center account, and control tool access | First and last names, email | Performance of a contract with you (account creation) |
| Invite you to learn more about the Programme by email, if you sign up for the free tool | Your consent (opt-in), withdrawable any time via unsubscribe | |
| Send the nurture email sequence you signed up for | Email, engagement data | Your consent (opt-in), withdrawable any time via unsubscribe |
| Process your purchase and grant course access | First and last names, email, purchase record | Performance of a contract with you |
| Respond to support, guarantee-claim, or refund requests | Your email and message content, and any plan document you submit | Performance of a contract with you / our legitimate interest in resolving your query |
| Improve the Programme and this Site | Aggregated, where possible de-identified usage data | Our legitimate interest, balanced against your privacy |
When you opt in for a lead magnet, you'll see clear, specific copy describing what you're signing up to receive before you tick anything — nothing is opted in by default. We use double opt-in (you confirm your email address before entering the sequence). If you create a free Project Command Center account, we'll separately ask at signup whether you'd also like occasional emails about the Programme; if you say yes, the same double opt-in and unsubscribe rules in this section apply to those emails too, and creating a tool account on its own never enrols you in marketing email without that separate yes. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes you out of marketing emails immediately; transactional emails related to a Product you've purchased or an account you've created (like access instructions or a refund confirmation) may still be sent as needed to fulfil that purchase or maintain that account.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties, and we do not share it with anyone for their own independent marketing purposes. We may disclose personal data if required to do so by law, regulation, legal process, or a governmental request, or where we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others, or to investigate fraud.
The Site uses systeme.io's built-in cookie-consent mechanism, which distinguishes essential cookies (needed for the Site and checkout to function) from any optional analytics or marketing cookies. If we add analytics or ad-tracking pixels in future, this section will be updated to name them specifically, and the cookie banner will let you accept or decline the optional ones.
We rely on the security measures of our infrastructure providers (systeme.io, Clerk, Paystack, Spaceship) to protect the personal data processed on their platforms, and we do not independently store your data on our own servers outside those platforms. We take reasonable steps appropriate to a small business to keep access to our own accounts on those platforms secure. That said, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a data breach affecting your personal data that creates a real risk of harm to you, we will notify you and, where legally required, the relevant regulator, without undue delay.
We keep your data for as long as you have an active opt-in, tool account, or Programme access, and for a reasonable period after (typically up to 7 years) to meet our own accounting, tax, and dispute-resolution obligations. Programme access itself is time-limited (12 months for the Professional Programme, 18 months for the Professional Programme + Human Audit tier — see our Terms & Conditions) — your purchase and course-progress records are kept beyond that window for the accounting/tax period just described, but that is a recordkeeping retention, not continued product access. If you ask us to delete your data under Section 8 and no legal retention obligation applies, we will do so.
Regardless of where you're located, you can ask us at any time, via hello@krong.academy, to:
You can also delete your own Project Command Center account directly, at any time, from the tool's Account menu (Account → Delete account) — see Section 11. This immediately and permanently removes your sign-in and access without needing to email us first; use the rights above for anything beyond the account itself, such as purchase records we're required to keep for tax purposes.
If you're in South Africa, you also have rights under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) and can lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa. If you're in the EU or UK, you have the equivalent right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. We'll aim to respond to any request within 30 days.
If you are a resident of a US state with its own privacy law (such as California's CCPA/CPRA), you have rights broadly similar to those in Section 8 — to know, access, correct, and delete your personal data, and to opt out of any sale or sharing of it. We do not sell or share personal data as those terms are defined under such laws. You can exercise any of these rights the same way as described in Section 8: email hello@krong.academy.
Because our platform providers (systeme.io, Clerk, Paystack, Spaceship) operate internationally, your data may be processed in a country other than the one you're in. Each of these providers maintains its own compliance framework for international transfers (such as EU Standard Contractual Clauses, where applicable); we rely on those safeguards rather than operating our own servers.
Creating a free account (Section 2) lets you sign in and use the Project Command Center tool; we use it only to manage your access, not to view your project work. You can delete your own account at any time from inside the tool, via Account → Delete account — this is immediate, permanent, and doesn't require contacting us first. The tool itself saves your in-progress project work in your own browser's local storage, not on a Krong Academy server, and any export file you create is yours to keep. We don't have access to what you build in the tool unless you choose to share an export file with us directly (for example, as part of a Deliverable Guarantee claim). The current version of this Privacy Policy and our Terms & Conditions are always available inside the tool from the same Account menu.
The Site or our emails may occasionally link to third-party websites or content we don't control (for example, a source we cite in course materials). This Policy doesn't apply to those third-party sites, and we're not responsible for their privacy practices — check their own policy before sharing any personal data with them.
The Programme is intended for working professionals and is not directed at, or knowingly collecting data from, anyone under 18.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time; material changes will be posted here with an updated date.
Questions about this policy, or to exercise any of the rights in Section 8: hello@krong.academy.

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of krong.academy (the "Site") and any product purchased through it, including The AI-Augmented Project Management System (the "Programme") and any bonus or upgrade tiers described on the Site, together the "Products". By purchasing a Product, creating an account, or otherwise using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not purchase a Product or use the Site.
Krong Academy ("Krong Academy", "we", "us") is operated by Damian Powell, an individual trading as a sole proprietor, based in South Africa. As a sole proprietorship there's no separate registered company address. You can contact us at hello@krong.academy.
The Products are intended for working professionals and are not directed at anyone under 18. By purchasing a Product or creating an account, you confirm you are at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into these Terms in your own jurisdiction.
Payment is processed by Paystack. We do not store your card details. Access to the Programme you purchased is granted immediately once payment clears (or, for the instalment plan, as each instalment clears — later modules unlock at the corresponding payment milestone).
Access window. This is a one-time purchase, not a subscription — there is nothing recurring to cancel, and no further payment is ever required to keep the access you've already been granted for its stated window. That window is time-limited: 12 months from your purchase date for the Professional Programme, or 18 months from your purchase date for the Professional Programme + Human Audit tier. During your access window you have full use of the course modules and of the Project Command Center export features described in Section 3. We will email the address associated with your purchase at least 30 days before your access window ends. After your access window ends, course and export access is no longer guaranteed; we may, at our discretion, extend access, offer a renewal, or migrate the Programme to a new format, but you should not rely on this. Nothing in this section shortens the 30-day Deliverable Guarantee window in Section 5, which runs from your purchase date regardless of your access window's length.
We reserve the right to migrate, update, or eventually retire the hosting platform the Programme is delivered on, and will give reasonable advance notice if we do.
If you complete all 11 modules and every section of the project plan the Programme asks you to build, and you still don't have something you'd consider usable — a plan you'd hand to a client, sponsor, or board — you're entitled to a full refund, subject to the following:
To make a claim, email hello@krong.academy with your finished plan attached. We aim to process valid claims within 14–21 business days.
If you have a concern about a purchase, please contact hello@krong.academy first — most issues, including guarantee claims, are resolved faster this way than through your card issuer or payment provider. If you initiate a chargeback, dispute, or reversal with your bank, card issuer, or Paystack instead of (or before the outcome of) using the process in Section 5, we reserve the right to: suspend or terminate your access to the Products pending resolution; treat the chargeback as your one guarantee claim under Section 5 (so a subsequent direct claim for the same purchase will not also be honoured); and provide the transaction and communication records relevant to your purchase to Paystack or your card issuer to contest an unwarranted chargeback. This section does not limit any right you have to dispute an unauthorised or fraudulent transaction.
The Human Audit must be redeemed within your 18-month access window described in Section 4 — it does not run on a separate clock, renew, extend, or convert to cash after that window closes.
The Human Audit is a personal service: one round of written feedback from Damian on three sections of your submitted plan, delivered against the same rubric used with paying consulting clients. If your submission does not meet the standard, you have one included opportunity to resubmit; your resubmission only needs to address the section(s) your instructor flagged, not your full submission, since the three sections are interconnected and your instructor keeps your original submission on file for context. If your resubmission still does not meet the standard, you may purchase one further review for $100, which includes that review plus one follow-up revision if needed. In total, you have up to four attempts to meet the standard: your initial submission, the one included resubmission, and up to two further attempts covered by the $100 fee. If your fourth attempt still does not meet the standard, you will not receive the Certificate of Applied Practice, though your Certificate of Completion is unaffected. Because it involves real, capacity-constrained review time, the Human Audit is excluded from the Deliverable Guarantee once delivered. If you haven't yet redeemed the Human Audit and want a refund on that portion specifically, contact hello@krong.academy. Refunds on an undelivered Human Audit are considered on a case-by-case basis within the same 30-day window as Section 5.
The Human Audit is feedback on your project plan document against a stated rubric. It is not personalised legal, financial, tax, investment, or professional consulting advice about your actual project, business, or organisation, and does not create a consulting, advisory, or fiduciary relationship between you and Damian Powell or Krong Academy. Decisions about your real project remain yours to make.
You may use the Programme's content, templates, prompts, and the Project Command Center tool for your own personal or internal professional use. You may not resell, redistribute, publish, or share your access credentials or the course materials (including the RACF prompts, worksheets, templates, and Excel tools) with anyone who has not purchased the Programme themselves. All content is owned by Krong Academy or licensed to Krong Academy for use in the Programme. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access, without refund, for anyone who shares credentials or materials in breach of this section, or who otherwise misuses the Products (including abusive conduct toward Krong Academy or its staff, or attempts to circumvent payment).
This Programme is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or approved by the Project Management Institute (PMI). PMBOK® is a registered trademark of PMI. This Programme references the PMBOK® Guide, 8th Edition, among other sources, as a teaching reference. It is not a PMI credential, exam, or certification pathway, and completing it does not confer any PMI-recognised qualification.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Products are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site, the Programme, or Project Command Center will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any defect will be corrected. Nothing in this section limits any warranty that cannot lawfully be excluded under the law of your country of residence.
The Programme teaches a methodology and provides templates, prompts, and worked examples; it does not provide personalised project management, legal, financial, tax, or investment advice for your specific project or organisation, and using it does not create a consulting or advisory relationship (see also Section 7 on the Human Audit). You are solely responsible for the decisions you make on your own project, including any decision based on output from the Programme's materials or from any AI tool (including tools used via the RACF prompt method).
AI-generated content can be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your specific circumstances. You are responsible for reviewing, verifying, and exercising your own professional judgement over any AI-assisted output before relying on it or presenting it to a client, sponsor, board, or any other party. Krong Academy is not responsible for decisions made, or outcomes arising, from your use or reliance on AI-generated content, whether produced during the Programme or afterward.
Beyond the specific, proof-conditional refund described in Section 5, we don't guarantee any particular career, business, or financial outcome from completing the Programme (a promotion, a job offer, a client win, or similar). Results depend on your own effort, project, experience, and circumstances, all of which vary from person to person. Any testimonial, case study, or example of a result mentioned on the Site or in our marketing reflects that individual's specific experience and is not a promise or guarantee that you will achieve the same or similar results.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Krong Academy's total liability to you for any and all claims arising from or relating to your purchase or use of the Products — whether in contract, tort (including negligence), or otherwise — is limited to the amount you actually paid for the relevant Product in the 12 months before the claim arose. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost business, lost opportunity, or lost data (see Section 3 on Project Command Center's local-storage model), even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under the law of your country of residence, including (where applicable) liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Krong Academy and Damian Powell from any third-party claim, loss, liability, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: your breach of these Terms; your misuse of the Products; content or data you submit (including in a Human Audit submission or guarantee claim) that infringes a third party's rights or is unlawful; or your violation of any applicable law in connection with your use of the Products. This does not apply to claims arising from our own breach of these Terms, negligence, or wilful misconduct.
We are not liable for any delay or failure to perform caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including outages, downtime, or policy changes at third-party platforms we rely on to deliver the Products (systeme.io, Clerk, Paystack, our email/hosting providers), internet or power outages, or events of force majeure. If a third-party platform outage materially delays your access to something you've paid for, we will take reasonable steps to restore access or, if that isn't possible within a reasonable time, offer an appropriate remedy at our discretion.
These Terms are governed by the laws of South Africa. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of South Africa, unless mandatory consumer-protection law in your own country of residence gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere (which can apply to cross-border online sales to consumers in the EU, UK, or elsewhere) or gives you rights that these Terms cannot lawfully limit or waive.
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable or invalid under applicable law, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Krong Academy regarding the Products, and supersede any prior agreement or understanding, written or oral, on that subject. Any sales page, email, or other marketing material is provided for descriptive purposes and does not modify these Terms.
You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign or transfer these Terms, in whole or in part, in connection with a sale, merger, or transfer of the business, without your consent, provided your rights under these Terms are not materially diminished.
We may update these Terms from time to time; the version in effect at the time of your purchase governs that purchase. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. We will send any notice required under these Terms, or that we choose to send you, to the email address associated with your account or purchase; you're responsible for keeping that address current.
Questions about these Terms: hello@krong.academy.
